The 23' Friendship sloop GYPSY designed and built by Judson Crouse in 1939 in Rockland, Maine is seen here, underway at the mouth of the Benjamin River, Maine. GYPSY was hauled out at the foot of Mechanic Street (we lived at number 15) during WWII and I used to sneak onboard and dream of owning her. The last I knew (around 2000), GYPSY was housed inside a shed in Orland, Maine
