The 32' 1" Friendship sloop EASTWARD was designed by Murray G. Peterson and built in 1956 at Pemaquid Beach, Maine by James Chadwick. Roger and Mary Duncan were using their boat EASTWARD to teach seamanship at the WoodenBoat School that week and had space for Anne and me and Jon Wilson for one of the days, so we took advantage of the opportunity and went sailing. This photo shows Anne Bray at the wheel and Roger Duncan on the main sheet.
