The converted Chesapeake buy boat COASTAL QUEEN seen here at anchor off Brooklin, Maine. The COASTAL QUEEN is a vintage, Chesapeake buy boat. COASTAL QUEEN was originally built in 1928 by A.V. Price in Maryland and professionally operated as an oyster buy boat, delivering oysters to market until 1958, she was purchased by boat builder and yachtsman Slade Dale, converted into a cruising yacht and renamed, COASTAL QUEEN. Since then she has lived her name to the fullest, plying the waters from the Bahamas to Eastern Maine, St. Lawrence Seaway and Mississippi River, turning heads in every port of call. 25 years ago she was purchased by an extremely accomplished racing sailor, as the 'mothership' for his yacht. In short order, she became the mothership of the Fleet, and the social hub of every regatta she attended! The iconic COASTAL QUEEN at 90 years old, has a fully sound wood hull and structure, proven machinery, modern electronics and three decks of gracious accommodations. The motor yacht's interior is classically styled throughout. Her main salon with oversized U-shape settee for 10 to 12 guests and dinette for four to six guests is perfect for relaxing, socializing and enjoying a meal. Forward of the main salon is an excellently ventilated galley that is well equipped with a Wolf professional propane stove and Pro GE combination oven/convection oven. COASTAL QUEEN's current chef routinely prepares meals for 15 to 20 guests and the yacht regularly hosts parties for 50-plus people. Located on the upper deck, the fantail is the yacht's social hub. Showcasing wicker seating, a fully stocked bar area, freezer and a wine chiller, this is perfect for entertaining. COASTAL QUEEN offers accommodations for seven guests in three nicely appointed staterooms. Her upper deck master stateroom features a queen-size bed and an en-suite bath as well as sensational views, privacy screens, a flat-screen TV and a writing desk. The yacht's VIP stateroom, known as the Newport suite, has two large twin berths, expansive windows, privacy screens, a writing desk and an en-suite bath. COASTAL QUEEN's guest stateroom offers three single berths and its own bath.
