View of the bow of what is probably a somewhat dilapidated Bahama sloop with the Andros racing sloop AVENGER, built by Alfred Bain and his buddy Leroy Bannister for competing in the Family Island Regatta, seen in the distance. This photo was taken on a shoot that Ben Mendlowitz arranged for his Calendar of Wooden Boats, and were taken at Lisbon Creek in Andros, Bahamas. The AVENGER was featured on the cover of an early WoodenBoat.Magazine.
