95’ centerboard schooner HERITAGE designed by Doug and Linda Lee and built by North End Shipyard in 1983 in Rockland, Maine Launching of the schooner HERITAGE, April 16, 1983. The vessel was a celebrity from the get-go, her first sail cheered on by thousands of onlookers and documented by national media. As of 2021, she remains on the water as a beloved Maine windjammer.
