Caption reads "Powers Hall, W.S.N.S., Machias." Caption shows a large school with columns and windows open in Machias, Maine. Washington State Normal School, a teachers college, is now part of University of Maine in Machias. The school was built in 1910 and destroyed by fire in 1936.
