Trawler NORTHERN PRINCESS. "F.V. NORTHERN PRINCESS, a new steel, 90 foot dragger, was christened on May 3, '80, when she made her maiden voyage to Freeport, Long Island, her home port. The boat was built by Collier Shipbuilding Inc., Bayou LaBatre, Alabama, and is jointly owned by Jerry Bracco, of Captain Ben's International, Freeport and Capt. Tommy Leggiere, of Brightwaters, L.I. She is the largest fishing boat to operate from Freeport and her owners hope to capture the local market with direct retailing of the catch from the 200,000 lbs. boat's capacity." [ref.
