This was the traditional oil-fired shipmate stove in the galley of the longliner PENOBSCOT GULF. Note the blower assembly at lower left, shoes drying below, and the hand pump mounted next to the sink at left; the GULF's amenities were rough and ready. The GULF's owner and captain, Martin "Marty" Bartlett, donated his own collection of fishing photographs to Penobscot Marine Museum in 2016 (Accession # LB2016.15).
