Burning tanker with other vessels approaching. "Tanker GLODTIK SUN burned off the coast o fLouisiana on August 15, 1975, after colliding with a production platform out of service. Quick work by the Coast Guard and tugs rescued 40 men off the burning tanker; six men were lost. The assisting craft also managed to put out the blaze before it could drift into working rigs."
