Photo reverse: "Roy C. Blaney, solo boat builder of east side, Boothbay harbor, is working on cutter designed by Sam Crocker of Manchester, Mass. Keel was laid Oct. '62 and boat will be launched in mid summer. After 9 years in Provincetown, Mass., Blaney has been a Boothbay builder for 9 years. Cutter has Swedish 2 cyl. 15 hp Albin gas motor, is cedar planked, has mahogany garboards and sheer strake, with 3700 lbs lead outside ballast. It is a development of the 'Roaring Bessie' of the early 30's." [ref. NF 06/1963, p. 22]
