Driving Up Simply filed under "woodenboat building", this photo shows workmen driving wedges under the keel of a new boat to lift it from its building supports onto the launching cradle. This was a centuries-old practice used wherever boats and ships were launched from inclined ways. National Fisherman articles covered traditional and modern boat building, and in the 1960s-1980s, included many small boat design pieces.
