Image of the Belfast & Moosehead Lake Railroad No. 51 Diesel engine* pulling a tank car, 2 box cars, a mail car and a passenger car over the City Point steel trestle bridge spanning the Passagassawakeag River * General Electric 70-ton switcher built in 1946. The engine operated for many years on the B&ML RR until it was retired from service in the early 2000s This is one of a series of photographs staged to be used for an article in Life Magazine in 1950.
