Stevenson's Home Made Candy Store, Main Street, Camden, Maine, purveyors of candies, ice cream, tobacco and soda. Note sign advertising "Ice cream, Tobacco, Soda, Manufacturer's of Home Made Candies" and "Dairy Kream." There are also signs for 15 and 25 cent sundaes as well as 5, 10 and 15 cent cones. A sidewalk sign advertises Sealtest ice cream. To the right is Haskell and Corthell* * Haskell & Corthell was in business for almost 100 years. It was started in 1898 by Sam Haskell and was sold to his clerk, Harold Corthell, one of the best businessman ever. Later it was owned by Kenneth Dickey, a capable clerk for Corthell. The Woman's Shop was run by Olive Weaver Corthell, who was a very pleasant manager, for many years. Included were The Men's Shop, The Women's Shop, The Shoe Shop, The Ski Shop and The End Shop. It closed in about 1984.
