D. T. Sanders & Sons store, and the Union Evangelical Church on the right in Greenville, Maine. D.T. Sanders Store carried every imaginable item, from wood supplies to ties and business suits. The Sanders family outfitted visitors on the spot, from a canoe, the hire of a guide, mapping out a trip, putting them in the lake and picking them up in Fort Kent. The Sanders family outfitted many famous individuals, from Henry David Thoreau to Sir Harry Oakes and Chief Justice Douglas. D. T. Sanders & Son Co. offered a special service to "sports" who wanted to venture into the great north woods. They needed only to contact Sanders telling them the size of the party, the location and duration of the trip and their required supplies and Sanders would set up the trip.
