Image of a lake, pond, or deep cove with a boathouse at water's edge and cottage barely visible. Visible in image: In this body of water are a small, treed island and several rocks protruding just above the surface. On the right, a shingled boathouse opens out onto a log platform. On this platform are an overturned skiff, a ladder leading down into the water, and lines that may either be a swimming aid or lead to a haul-off outside the photograph. Up the hill from the boathouse, screened by tree branches, is a house or cottage. Latticework of the porch is visible, as is a man on the porch watching the photographer. No other information about this photograph is presently known.
