Sibyl Stevens Perkins

Image of Sibyl Stevens Perkins, wife of James E. Perkins, in what is possibly a room of the Perkins house in Popham Village. Visible in image: Sibyl Stevens Perkins holds an issue of the Saturday Evening Post in her lap and sits in front of an upright piano, resting one elbow on the back of the piano stool. She wears a plain skirt, and a blouse with dark, possibly velvet cuffs, a pleated front flanked by lace trim over the shoulders, and a high, closed collar tied off with a large bow. Decorative objects, including pictures and a small bust, sit atop the piano. Two kerosene lamps flank the piano, accompanied by a vase of cut flowers and a potted plant. The room itself is papered in a plant motif, and the curtains are of lace.
