Rockledge
Image of the Hotel Rockledge, the Ingraham house, and Silver Lake at Popham village in Phippsburg, Maine. Visible in image: A view from Sabino Hill of the Craftsman-style Ingraham house, its carriage house, drive and dooryard, and part of the grounds. Beyond the Ingraham house lies part of Silver Lake, beyond which the Hotel Rockledge stands on the heights. The hotel's two wings are clearly visible, as are its water tower and auxiliary buildings behind. On the shore behind the hotel stands some of Popham's summer cottages. The three cottages immediately to the right of the hotel are (L-R) the Bates cottage, the A. H. Shaw cottage, and the Fernald cottage. Pond Island, with its lighthouse, sits offshore at left, and Wood Island, is offshore to the right. Cataloger' note: Part of the negative was broken off and lost at some point in the past.
