Parlor - Miss Vitus' - Cold Spring
Image of the interior of a parlor belonging to one Miss Vitus. Visible in image: Parlor furnishings, including a large armchair of carved wood and a smaller wooden chair with an upholstered seat, round parlor table, and what looks to be a secretary and bookcase at far right. The parlor is decorated with a variety of curios, including vases, fans on the walls, a mantel clock, hung prints, and photographs tucked into the door of the secretary. The mantel drape and parlor tablecloth are of floral pattern and the curtains are lace. There is a blocked-off stovepipe run on the ceiling above the fireplace, and built-in cupboards or bookshelves in the back right corner. Caption on negative sleeve/reverse of print: "76 - Parlor - Miss Vitus' [sic] - Cold Spring - July 1891 - Cap [exposure] - 1 minute" on sleeve in pencil.
