Light tender entering river
Image of the U.S. Lighthouse Service tender ARMERIA. Visible in image: ARMERIA is at anchor in the Kennebec River. What appears to be the Perkins Island fog bell tower is in the background. Her forward boom is raised as it would be when off loading cargo. At this time ARMERIA was based in New York at the 3rd Lighthouse district and brought supplies from the Staten Island depot to Maine lights.
