ISLAND BELLE
Image of the steamboat ISLAND BELLE in Bath, Maine. Visible in image: ISLAND BELLE leaves her berth in Bath, apparently empty of passengers. A small portion of the Bath waterfront is visible astern, including the sterns of two other steamboats in their berths. Although One Man's World gives the year of this photograph as 1889, the Eastern Steamship Company was not incorporated until 1901. Resolution of this apparent discrepancy is unclear.
