Ingraham house
Image of the Ingraham house at Popham village, Phippsburg, Maine. Visible in image: The Ingraham house, known also as the "Stonehouse," showing the drive and dooryard, main entrance, and carriage house. The building, built in the American Craftsman style between 1891 and 1896, overlooks Silver Lake and Popham's south shore, which lie on the opposite side of the crest. The house is of mixed stone and shingle contruction, with a large porch on the "view side." It was designed for Charles H. Ingraham, a Providence, R.I. banker, by architect Harry Hilton, and built on the site of the Irving farm, replacing the farmhouse which at the time was the oldest home in the area.
