H. T. Stevens and fish
Image of Hiram T. Stevens, brother-in-law of James E. Perkins, on a dory in the Kennebec River. Visible in image: Hiram Stevens, wearing a full suit of oilskins, stands in a dory moored out in the Kennebec River and pulls a large fish over the gunwale with a hand line. In the background is the shore of Long Island, in Georgetown; the Clark house on Gilbert Head is partially visible at the right edge of the photograph. Considering the distinct shadows cast by fish and fisherman alike on the sides of the dory, the foul weather gear is probably only for show.
