DAMARIN at Popham Beach Steamboat Company pier
Image of the steamboat DAMARIN at the Popham Beach Steamboat Company pier. Visible in image: Two women walk down the pier toward DAMARIN. Moored just to the left of the pier is a scow with a large deckhouse, perhaps a floating office, bunkhouse, or warehouse. To the left of the scow is the large fish weir in Atkins Bay. The identity of the steamer in front of Cox's Head is presently unknown, although it appears to be a U.S. Government vessel. A small sailboat is moored adjacent to the pier, while a larger gaff-rigged boat is sailing in the Kennebec to the right of Cox's Head.
