Bath waterfront--ANODYNE, CHARLIE LAWRENCE, and HOCKOMOCK

Image of the small steamboat ANODYNE, the tug CHARLIE LAWRENCE, and the ferry HOCKOMOCK at the Bath waterfront. Visible in image: ANODYNE and CHARLIE LAWRENCE are tied up at Drummond's Coalyard, while HOCKOMOCK sets out from Bath to Woolwich on a ferry run with passengers aboard. Another tug is visible beyond HOCKOMOCK and a three-masted schooner can be seen still farther upriver. The caption for this photograph in One Man's World notes that ANODYNE "scooted up and down the Maine coast selling Johnson's Anodyne liniment." It is worth noting that before this ANODYNE (built 1901 by A&M Gamage) was the smallest steamboat of the Damariscotta River Steamboat Company fleet (the other two being NEWCASTLE and BRISTOL).
