ALICE HOWARD
Image of the steamboat ALICE HOWARD moored for the winter, probably in Maine. Visible in image: The passenger steamboat ALICE HOWARD is moored between two stone jetties. The sheltered water is frozen over. The ALICE HOWARD's boats and navigation lights have been removed and a tall ladder has been placed atop the vessel. Also between the jetties is what appears to be a fishing sloop, with its boom taken down and a scow overturned on the deckhouse. A shed with a simple freight wagon stands on the far jetty, while on the far coast four house-like buildings of identical form can be seen.
