The stripped-down version of the Colonial Revival indicates a later iteration of the Style often used for fraternity houses and middle class family homes in the mid-20th century. This fraternity occupied one of the Webster houses on No. Main St. from 1895 until 1902, when it bought another house on the same street near the Orono bridge.
