Dipsy Baths - Kennebunk Beach, Me. C102A
Image of the Dipsy Baths House. The photograph, "made for C.R. Peters" (the proprietor of Dipsy Baths) including a woman posed in a beach chair under an umbrella, appears to have been made for advertising use. Signs on the wall of the beachside building read: "Dipsy Baths"/ Luncheonette/ Main Entrance to the Bath House". The sign on the shack at the far left reads: "...Chairs and Umbrellas to Let." Known for its calm, sandy conditions, Dipsy Baths was a part of the Kennebunk Beach shoreline popular for family outings since the 1880s.
