Theater In The Round - Tilton Town Hall, Tilton, N.H. C139
The FOXY II at a dock with its passengers and crew. The FOXY and the FOXY II were excursion boats that operated from Weirs Beach and Lakeport on Lake Winnipesaukee from the early 1950’s through the mid 1960’s. In Weirs Beach, the ticket booth was located adjacent to the Half Moon Penny Arcade. Owner and Captain, Carl Wallace, believed to be on the right with the "W" on his tie, passed away in the mid-1960’s, bringing an end to the Foxy boats. The caption on this photo indicates the location to be Tilton, New Hampshire. Its unclear if there is a relation between the Theater in the Round and the passengers or perhaps an error in the captioning.
