Other girls can be seen out on a floating raft and another girl rows a small rowboat. Watersport contests were held every Friday at the camp. In 1946, The Pyramid Lake House, originally built as a hunting and fishing lodge in 1890 and operated for decades until, in 1946, it became the new home to “Marian Lodge” – a girl’s sleepaway camp previously operating in Brant Lake, NY. In 1976, the Marian Lodge was merged with a boy’s camp, Camp Tekakwitha, and was renamed Pyramid Lake Camp. The co-ed youth camp operated for nearly ten years..
