The Square - Camp Ellis, Saco Maine G75
View of a flat site, featuring a fenced-in area containing a playground and trees, with two older buildings in the distance. A coastal community located at the mouth of the Saco River, Camp Ellis was established in the later 19th century as a working family summer fishing community. The large, three-story frame building on the right is an early hotel that catered to out-of-towners flocking to the sands of Old Orchard Beach for summertime respite. This view probably shows the junction of Ferry Road and Beach Avenue.
