Image of Cundy's Lobster House Restaurant and snack bar (later Kob's Searsport Lobster Pound), Searsport, Maine. Roadside eateries such as this one sprung up all along Route 1 and other scenic routes during the mid-20th century as motor tourists flocked up the coast to midcoast Maine and Acadia.
