View of the House of 1800 Restaurant, "The Home of Fine New England Foods," at Rockport, Maine. Two 1960s-1970s cars are parked outside. Housed in a reproduction Cape style structure, coupled with the use of a historical date ("1800") in its name, and the lobster imagery, the business was clearly meant to draw tourists seeking a local Down East experience off the road -- probably Route 1.
