[included in the "Hancock County Through Eastern's Eye" exhibit] 118162 Sylvester Cove, Sunset, Maine 846. This photo shows the ramp for the Deer Isle Yacht Club, organized in 1925, where summer visitors moor their sailboats. It also served passengers taking the mail boat to Eagle Island and Great Spruce Head Island. In 1886 there was freight and passenger service between the cove and Rockland, long since discontinued.
