View at Glen Cove, Edgecomb Me. 4.
A scenic view at Glen Cove in Edgecomb Maine. The image looks across farms and fields.
With regard to the large farmhouse and barn prominently featured:
1899 thru 1911 owned by the Cunningham family (Cunninghams were plentiful all through the 1800's and owned hundreds of acres around this section of town).
1911-1918 Owned by Peterson family (also owned considerable acreage locally)
1918-1944 Owned by Salt family (sold by heirs of owner)
1944-1993 owned by Dunton family (this was the site of an engine powered sawmill post WW2 until 1970+-)

Any of the first three families listed might have owned it at the time of the photo.
The family of the last owner I mentioned still owns the property, although about 60 acres has been sold off over the years.

View is looking from east to west, towards Glen Cove and the Sheepscot River.
As for a description, at the time this photo was taken (and all the way up to 2003) the lands extended westward about a quarter mile along an ancient town way (sometimes noted as New River Road, Old Town Road, and later/currently as Cunningham Road) and included the foundations to an old water powered mill that still exists. We know nothing of the mill's purpose/ products, or years of operation unfortunately. -- Dave Boucher, Edgecomb Historical Society 2025
