Main Street, Limerick, Maine 215
View across and down the Main Street of Limerick, showing from left, the gazebo and Academy Building - later the Oddfellows Hall - on the rise where the road forks, and a row of structures with storefronts. From the left, these range from a ca. 1840 house to a ca. 1900 Foursquare, to a ca. 1920 one-story commercial building. The name on the signboard on the commercial building may be "Swasey". Given the vintage of the automobiles and the two gas pumps, and the not yet paved street, the image appears to have been made in the 1920s or '30s.
