Dining Hall, Point O'Pines, Newfound Lake, N.H. 413.
"Dining Hall, Point O'Pines, Newfound Lake, N.H. 413." "Both of these structures, according to Hebron NH historical records, are from Miss Lilliard's Nature Camp for Girls. It was built in 1916 and destroyed in the hurricane of '38. The only structures that remained standing were the Dining Hall, the Lodge (which we know as the Boat House), and just two cabins. We own the Dining Hall and were able to restore it to beautiful condition. We still have the original key to the front door that is stamped "DH". We also own the Lodge/Boat House, but it was too far gone when we bought it, so we built a replica of that structure on its exact location. Hope this is helpful to you and your records. We had never heard of Point of Pines. This area is now known as Indian Point because it is believed that native americans came here in the summer to fish and also to use the clay sand for pottery work." -- Steve Jonas 2017
