"Betty arrived in Camden in 1940, biked from Portland to Augusta and east to Camden after taking train from Bronxville, NY. Cruised on ANNIE F, KIMBELL on August 19, 19400 trip, same week as Mary Dallas, (Frank) Swift's soon-to-be 2nd wife was aboard the LOIS M. CANDAGE. Betty sailed again in 1941 on LOIS M, CANDAGE, sailed again 1942 on the CANDAGE for two weeks in July, sailed on the ENTERPRISE in August 1943, joined Maine Windjammer Cruises in 1944." She married Frank Swift in 1950, becoming his 3rd wife.
