Town House, Limerick Me. 52.

"Town House, Limerick Me. 52." Limerick,Maine C: 1910-15 #52 Town House "Limerick Town Hall, built in 1860 in a Greek Revival style, stands across from the junctions of Route 11 North and Route 5 North. It was built with the same style as the Jeremiah Mason House. The long house on the right burned in the early (19)80s and was torn down. The last elm in town, the sentinel elm, was removed in late 1968." - Thomas LePage The building's basic Greek Revival scheme, an architectural hangover from an earlier era and old-fashioned for 1860, is updated by the arched entrance and windows highlighted with granite trim.
