On the left can be seen the cannons which are located in front of City Hall. Next is a business which features the sale of Leader Flour; likely a bakery or grocery store. Next is Mrs. H. B. Cunningham, Fernald & Coombs fancy goods store. The Hayford Block, featuring a market in its basement and a grocery on the Church Street side, can be seen on the far side of Main Street. On the western side of Church Street across from City Hall is J. B. Stickney's Plumbing business, dealing in stoves, furnaces, ranges, tin ware and pumps. "Plumbing a specialty".
