Salisbury Cove from Youngs Hill 27.
Salisbury Cove from Youngs Hill This is either the original Young house or a wedding present to his sibling. The Youngs, were who were the original owners of the east side of Salisbury Cove. The original one- level cape was built somewhere c 1810 or possibly earlier - all hand-hewn beams. Then, somewhere around 1860 the roof was raised for a second 1/2 floor and the extension and barn was constructed. Apparently the Youngs intermixed with the Salsburys (both names are on the door knocker) owned the property until the 1960s.
