Loading the Buckboard, Penobscot Park, Searsport, Maine
There appears to be 3 rows of seating on this buckboard with the horses hitched and ready to go. There are still people milling about both on the porch and off including a child and their dog. Located at Kidder Point near Sears Island, Penobscot Park was developed as a recreation area by the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad in 1906. It was served by an excursion train for about 10 years.
