Searsport, Maine 193

The scene is a view up a broad dirt street (probably somewhere along Main Street/ Route 1) in a residential stretch of Searsport. Modest houses sit back from the road on tended lawns. There are telephone poles, a fire hydrant, and mail boxes. A bicycle leans against a tree at the far right. The cape on the far left has what appears to be a wrought iron cresting on the ridge of the roof. Perhaps this unusual feature on a modest home functioned to discourage crows and seagulls from perching there.
