Old Jail
This is an image of the Old Jail and Town House, now part of the Penobscot Marine Museum. It was built in 1845-46 in the Greek Revival Style. The Museum took over the building in 1936 and added the projecting entryway and granite steps. It appears the photo was taken shortly after that project was completed.
