Moulton Res., Limerick, Me. 42a.
"Moulton Res., Limerick, Me. 42a." Image shows a large, rambling Colonial Revival Style mansion under towering elms trees in summertime. The structure is Sunnycroft, a residence built in 1921-22 on Locust Hill by Charles G. Moulton, a prominent figure in Limerick. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 as an unusually picturesque and idiosyncratic example of the Colonial Revival Style. A biographical listing in "Maine- A History" indicates that Moulton was a founding officer of the Western Maine Power Company in 1889. (The business was later sold and renamed Central Maine Power Company.) Moulton was also President of the Limerick National Bank, and a trustee of the Limerick Academy.
