Colonial Gables U.S.Highway 1 on Coast of Maine, Belfast F89C

Colonial Gables Motel and Cabins at Belfast, Maine Roadside sign. The Colonial Gables was one of the first motels on the east side along with the Gull Motel. It was constructed on Searsport Avenue in 1957. The property extended from Searsport Avenue to the waterfront. It featured a motel unit near the highway and numerous cottages of varying sizes between the motel unit and the bay.
