Tug JOHN WANAMAKER

Built in 1925, the Tug JOHN WANAMAKER worked in Philadelphia until she was brought to Belfast, Maine and her name changed to the CLYDE B. HOLMES. Until 1977 she worked the waters of Penobscot Bay when she was bought by Captain James Sharp and converted to a restaurant using her original name. In 1981 the tug/restaurant was leased to the Boston Museum of Transpsortation to be operated as a restaurant.
