While skipper of the PAMBRI, Maynard A. Townsend and his crewman Paul D. Poole rescued one fellow seaman and recovered the body of another in the Damariscotta River , April 24, 1979. Donald Drisko 24, of Boothbay was rescued while Gerald Gamage and Kevin Fitzpatrick were lost in the accident.
