Phil Nichol's SURPRISE
Friendship Sloop SURPRISE, one of five built by Nichols, was completed when he was 70 years old. SURPRISE was 33 feet long with a beam of 11 feet and draw of 6 feet. The mast was spruce, 35 feet high.
