ATLANTIC HARVESTER
This is the moment of christening of a new purse seiner, the ATLANTIC HARVESTER, in 1980 at East Boothbay, Maine. The ATLANTIC HARVESTER was built at Washburn and Doughty for Lee Riley of New Harbor at a cost of more than one million dollars. Carrying a crew of twelve and the captain, the boat has a capacity of 200 tons of fish. She is 93 feet 9 inches long with a 26 foot beam and draft of 14 feet. Fully loaded she will weigh 500 tons.
