MARINE PLAZA
Built at Gamage and Stevens Yard in East Boothbay, launched December 1977. 130 foot barge built for Bay State Steamship Co. of Peabody, Massachusetts. With a beam of 30 feet and a draft of 9 feet the MARINE PLAZA is designed to be an accomodation for passengers boarding the island ferrys out of Boston. With rest room facilities and a snack bar, passengers will be able to board the island ferrys from the MARINE PLAZA without climbing a gang plank.
